New Pictures Simon Cowell pushes his golden buzzer for ‘amazing’ act on first day of Britain’s Got Talent auditions

BRITAIN’S Got Talent has seen its first golden buzzer act of the series after Simon Cowell pushed his button for an “amazing” act.

Alesha Dixon shared a video from the first day of auditions to give viewers an update as her fellow judge dished out the accolade.

As she gets a re-touch from the make-up crew during a break from filming, 40-year-old Alesha told the camera: “We have just had our first golden buzzer and it was absolutely amazing. I didn’t press it.”

Fellow judge Amanda Holden added that she also didn’t press the buzzer, before Alesha confirmed that David Walliams also wasn’t responsible.

She teased: “I wonder who press it! It was amazing!!”

Simon’s previous golden buzzer acts include chart-topper Calum Scott, dance troupe Boogie Storm and musical duo Bars and Melody.

Simon, 59, was targeted by trolls earlier this evening when the 59-year-old telly star was compared to a melting waxwork, as he appeared in a line-up for the show alongside Ant McPartlinDec Donnelly and his co-stars on the judging panel David WalliamsAmanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

But rather than talking about Ant’s return after a stint in rehab following his conviction for drink-driving, people seemed more interested in Simon’s new look.

Tweets ranged from the surprised, such as: “The question is what the hell is going on with Simon Cowell’s face?!?! 😱” to the truly bizarre.

Comedian Brian Limond, star of the BBC’s Limmy Show, said Simon looked like he had been “blowtorched to death”.

Another follower compared him to a “waxwork that’s been heated up” and is melting.
