WINDSOR AVENUE (3.30) should take the royal road to success at the northern track.
A winner of his first two starts under rules, he’d looked a horse to follow when switched to hurdles at the beginning of the season.
Despite not winning on debut over the smaller obstacles, he finished a very admirable second to a horse who’s now rated 141.
He then went won better in a weak race at Hexham, but was found out in a very hot novice at Newcastle last time.
However, he was only beaten three-quarters of a length that day and the winner has since followed up, with the second a very impressive winner in Grade 2 company.

Even giving weight away he is clearly the one to beat and his only start at this track resulted in an emphatic win.
Brian Ellison has had four winners in the last fortnight and this one can do the business under top jock Brian Hughes.
