NEW Leeds United signing Kiko Casilla wants to help the club return to the Premier League after completing his move from Real Madrid
The 32-year-old has joined on a free, signing a four-and-a-half year deal at Elland Road.
Casilla engineered the move to West Yorkshire by buying himself out of the final 18 months of his contract at the Bernabeu.
And the goalkeeper’s main aim in England is to ensure the Whites win promotion back to the top flight, where they haven’t played since 2004.
He said: “Leeds United is a really historic club in England with a massive fan base that is perfect and my desire is to help put the club in its real place in the Premier League.”
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are four points clear at the Championship summit with 19 games remaining.

The club have come under fire of late after Bielsa admitted to have spied on training sessions of each of their opponents this season.
The English Football League are investigating the offence but it remains to be seen what punishment will be forthcoming.
Bielsa nonetheless has a fine reputation across Europe for his meticulous approach.
In Spain, he managed Espanyol and Valencia and Casilla is thrilled at the prospect of working under the Chilean.
As he prepares to battle with Bailey Peacock-Farrell for the No.1 jersey, he stated: “I am really pleased to work with him, I have a lot of information from when he worked in Spain.
“I watched the team when he worked there and I talked with former players who worked with him and they all told me amazing things about him. I am really happy to work with him.”
Though Casilla was merely a squad player, he arrives in England with three Champions League winner’s medals from his time with Real.
While in Madrid he played alongside some of the best players in the world including Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric.
But the ‘keeper insists that the four-year spell has not given him a superiority complex.
Casilla admitted: “I want to try and help my team with my experience, but always being natural and humble.
“It is true I can help the team with these kind of things, but it can happen by being natural.
“I like goalkeepers who stay calm, for me this is the best trait for a goalkeeper to stay calm and this is important in my way if playing.”
