FORMER Call The Midwife’s Jessica Raine revealed she’s expecting her first child.
The actress, 37, confirmed the happy news at tonight’s premiere of BBC drama Baptiste while taking part in a Q&A.
The Mirror reports how Jessica had a noticeable baby bump and discussed performing stunts while being pregnant.
Jessica is married to Humans actor Tom Goodman-Hill, 50, with the pair meeting on the set of Earthquakes In London in 2010.
She played Jenny Lee for three seasons of hit drama Call The Midwife, and revealed she was taken aback by the success of the show in an interview with the Independent.
She said: “I don’t think you ever get used to it. And that was so overnight: it’s a quite unique experience.”
She was raised on her father’s farm and claims she wanted to be an actress from the age of 13.
After studying drama and cultural studies at the University of the West of England she was rejected from every drama school she applied to.
Jessica took a year out to teach English in Thailand and upon her return to England was accepted at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
After graduating from RADA, Jessica had a successful stage career in the likes of Gethsemane opposite Tamsin Greig.

As well as guest starring in Dr.Who, she’s starred in Line of Duty, Wolf Hall and Patrick Melrose.
In 2018 she played Emily Waters in the BBC drama Informer.
Her film credits include The Woman In Black, Elsewhere and Robin Hood.
