New Pictures Tory Brexiteers mocked as ‘The Backstop Boys’ and ‘Notorious ERG’ for ‘band photo’ on way to meet PM

A GANG of Brexiteers has been mocked online as the “Notorious ERG” and the “Reservoir Moggs” after some hilarious snaps of them emerged today.

Owen Paterson, Iain Duncan Smith and David Davis were snapped walking down the street in Westminster with Mark Francois and Steve Baker today.

This funny picture sparked a huge outpouring of jokes on Twitter

Their grins and poses, complete with a series of multi-coloured ties, looked sort of like an off album cover from a 90s boyband.

Luckily the online community were quick to pick up on it, posting a string of jokes online.

They were dubbed “Take Tw*t”, “Far Right Said Fred” and “Little Prix by amused onlookers.

Other popular suggestions were “Marooned 5”, “No Direction” and “The Backstop Boys”.

And one commented: “The other three are doing a reunion tour for the money.

“David Davis is only there before nothing replaced the buzz of live performance”.

But one added: “Worst Apprentice team ever!”

The group of Brexiteers were snapped on the same day they were set to meet the PM
Mrs May has been trying to reach out to all MPs to find out what kind of Brexit they would accept
Mr Davis even sported a pair of fitting glasses at one point

The group were pictured after meeting with the Prime Minister earlier today to discuss Brexit.

But they declined to comment on what they had talked about.

The PM is reaching out to a variety of MPs to find out what kind of Brexit they might agree to pass in the Commons.

Mr Davis and his fellow Brexiteers think the current deal ties us too closely to the EU.

However, Labour MPs on the other side of the Commons think we should be seeking a softer Brexit with MORE ties to the bloc.

Mrs May has to come up with a new plan on Brexit within days after her deal was rejected overwhelmingly by politicians earlier this week.

But Mr Corbyn isn’t engaging in the talks, calling on the PM to rule out leaving with No Deal first.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking down to exit day on March 29 and no one has any idea what might happen.
