New Pictures Ex-model with terminal brain cancer claims her fiancé dumped her days before their wedding via text after medication made her gain 5st

AN ex-model with a terminal brain tumour claims her fiancé dumped her days before their wedding after her medication made her put on 5st.

Emily Nicholson, 24, and boyfriend Jamie Smith decided to marry when she was diagnosed with a tumour and told she had only about a year to live.

On January 13 2017 Emily was told she had a year to live so she and boyfriend Jamie Smith, 24, decided to tie the knot while they still had time

But Emily said a week before the big day Jamie, also 24, called it off by Facebook Messenger.

And she fears he may have done it because the steroids she was taking caused her to balloon from a size 6 to a size 16 in six weeks.

Emily, from York, said: “Jamie said he didn’t want to be with me and he hadn’t loved me for a long time.

“For months he’d been going out with his friends but obviously I couldn’t do that because I was ill.

“It just came out of the blue, it was horrendous. Now I don’t feel anything about him, he hurt me but there’s no point getting upset.”

Emily, who met Jamie while living in Australia, has already exceeded the life expectancy doctors predicted.

She has now moved back to the UK and her family are trying to raise £30,000 so she can have pioneering immunotherapy treatment.

Jamie denies dumping Emily and claims she split with him. He said: “It was never anything to do with her weight gain.”
